• For your vehicle that is ten years or older, or if you have made special modifications, Alberta Insurance requires a mechanical inspection be performed by a licensed automotive technician. There are approximately 60 key safety items that need to be inspected in order for it to be registered and run the vehicle safely on the road.

Without a properly functioning set of refrigeration gauges, there is very little that can be done to an automotive air-conditioning system by the “do it yourself” type back yard mechanic.
